Empty Bowls

                                                       October 12, 2009

Empty Bowls 13 is now in the history books, and what a great year it was.  Thanks to everyone’s time and talents, we made $ 8,426.00  at this year’s event.

Empty Bowls is only possible through the generous support of each of you; our volunteers, partners and sponsors, and we thank you for all that you do.  Without YOU there would be no Empty Bowls!

We have so many talented people that participate in this event and each year just gets better.  To those who have made this a yearly event, to those who help out when they can, to each and every one of you: a very big ‘Thank You’.

This year, as in past years, half of the proceeds will be given to the Emergency Food Network; to supply food to the food banks and soup kitchens in the Tacoma-Pierce County area.  The other half of the proceeds will go to the West End Neighborhood Council for scholarships to the Art Center at Manitou; offering low income children an art experience they might otherwise never have.

Again, thank you for making this year’s Empty Bowls event so immensely successful!

Gratefully,
